One might suspect that the popularity of the Japanese Tower Records limited edition release of this symphony set has spured DGG to release it in the west. It's nice to finally have this set generally available. While it was marketed worldwide as an LP set, the first CD release was short-lived and it quickly turned into a collector's item that fetched mega-dollars on Ebay. In recent years, Japanese buyers had the option to buy the set but exporting was prohibited. Buying them at retail and then re-selling them became an expensive option for western collectors. So, finally, here it is!
