Symphony No. 3: Version of 1873 and 2nd Adagio / Profil 2 CD setGerd Schaller continues his massive "Bruckner 200" project with this new recording of the first version of Bruckner's Symphony No. 3 (1873) and his rarely performed "2nd Adagio" of 1876. While the "2nd Adagio" is rarely performed and recorded, it is part of the official Bruckner edition. Schaller is fast approaching a complete cycle of symphonies in all their versions and, in some cases, variants to the official versions. He is also recording many of the symphonies in transcriptions for organ and is planning on recording the major choral works.
