Historic Zoltan Fekete Bruckner 3rd available as a downloadFor the older readers among us, the early Remington LP of the Bruckner Symphony No. 3 with Zoltan Fekete conducting the Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg may have been their first exposure to Bruckner's music. The Remington LP suffered from poor surfaces and the original Qualiton LP was hard to obtain. Over the years, several transfers of the LP have been made with varying success - some even omitting the Scherzo da capo!
But now Hungaroton has offered the original recording for download. It is showing up on YouTube and can be downloaded here from I-Tunes. The only problem is that they have ALSO OMITTED THE SCHERZO DACAPO so one will need to edit it back in.
