Bruckner is a Hot Item in Japan
The Japanese cartoon artist, Kazuo Ozawa recently produced a series of six label pins featuring great classical composers. He chose as the "Kings of Composers" Bach, Beethoven and Mozart. For the "Three most popular in Japan" he chose Bruckner, Mahler and Shostakovich. The pins were to go on sale at HMV in Japan on December 1st, but pre-orders for the Bruckner pin sold out before the official release! While we don't know exactly how many were made for each pin, it is clear that Bruckner's popularity surprised everyone.

I am happy to report that as of December 9th, the Bruckner pins are back in stock. If you would like one, please contact me and I will order one for you with my next CD order. Cost would be about $12.00 plus $3.00 shipping.

My thanks to Horace Lau for this information.
