An encounter with Bruckner
Synopsis : Maximillian Amthor, a 93-year-old retired engineer (we are in 1974) - born in 1881 - recalls that, at 14 or 15, he was playing with his friends in front of the gate-keeper's lodge near the Imperial Palace on the Upper-Belvedere. Suddenly, he saw, appearing through one of the side-windows, the imposing figure of Bruckner..."that fat little MAN!! threatening out the window - he was probably just taking his nap....." |
