A Bruckner Symphony offered by the New England Philharmonic
In the Spring of 2019, Maestro Pittman led the New England Philharmonic in a performance of Anton Bruckner's Symphony No. 3, which included 38 bars never before performed. This special performance was possible thanks to collaboration with William Carragan, Vice President of the Bruckner Society of America. Carragan’s study and expertise on Bruckner presents this edition of the 3rd symphony as most in line with what Bruckner intended. To accompany this beautifully dramatic music, Maestro Pittman's son Robert Pittman, an international filmmaker, has created a video montage to accompany the full performance, using photos he took of the orchestra. We will be posting this on our YouTube channel this month, and we are excited and committed to make this free for all to view and listen. We have created a GoFundMe campaign to help fund it. |
