The Passion of Joan of Arc (1927)

The Passion of Joan of Arc (1927)
This classic silent film by Carl Theodor Dreyer naturally has no soundtrack. However, the director did say that if any music was to be associated with this film, that it should be the music of Anton Bruckner. With this in mind, the Melbourne Cinematheque Society in Australia commissioned Ross Campell to edit a soundtrack using Bruckner's music. Kevin Lee, a Bruckner enthusiast in Australia went to see this screening and was so impressed that he set out to reconstruct the Melbourne Cinematheque production for his own use. Normally, I wouldn't add home-produced soundtracks to this list, but since it was publically shown this way in Australia, I am including it.

The article below by Kevin Lee explains his project in more detail and provides additional links.
