The Third Visitor (1951)

The Third Visitor (1951)
The Third Visitor is a 1951 British crime film directed by Maurice Elvey and starring Sonia Dresdel, Guy Middleton and Karel Stepanek. The musical score was written by Leighton Lucas. In the late 1940's, Lucas compiled a series of production music recordings for EMI. They were recorded using his own pick-up orchestra. One of the selections that Lucas recorded included the first two movements of Bruckner's Symphony No.9. He used them for the scoring of "The Third Visitor" includin the end of the first movement for the opening title. More about Leighton Lucus and his production music recordings can be found here. My thanks to Pedro Carneiro for his assistance.
