Radio Nederland is the international service of the Dutch broadcasting system. Holland has a very complicated system of broadcasters and Radio Nederland was set up to handle the international programs for all of the domestic broadcasting entities. For many years, the concert programming for Radio Nederland consisted of a monthly series called "Dutch Concert Hall." The programs were sent to stations on tape. When the closed circuit public radio satellite distribution system was set up, distribution shifted to satellite and a new system of LP disc distribution was set up to get programing to stations not connected to the satellite system. This new series of programs was called. "Dutch Concert Rostrum." Each two-LP set (pressed by Polygram) contained two one-hour programs. One of the programs in 1989 (No. 8914) featured a performance of the Bruckner Symphony No. 1 with Sergiu Comissiona (1928-2005) conducting the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic. The performance took place on January 25, 1986.
