April, 2023: Symphony No. 4 / Milan Horvat / Austrian Radio Symphony Orchestra / Point Classics

This month, we feature the third in our Point Classics series of recordings. This is the only case with this series where the actual conductor is identified. Apparently, Point got ahold of a legitimately licensed recording here. But before we relax and get our guard down, there is another Bruckner 4th that has defied identification. We will feature that one in the months ahead. It is one of the Alfred Scholz / South German Philharmonic recordings that has been issued on various labels with conductors real (Hans Zanotelli) and imagined (Alfred Lizzio and Denis Zsoltay) and a new name - Joseph Kreutzer and the Royal Danish Orchestra.
