Bruckner Archive acquires antique Rudolf Hermann etching

Using funds received from CD sales, the Bruckner Archive continues its acquisition of Bruckner memorabilia. In this case it is an antique etching produced by Rudolf Hermann (1879 - 1964).

Hermann was a Viennese political cartoonist, postcard designer and book illustrator. He was known for his illustrations in the magazines, Die Muskete and Das Neue Österreich. The plate is 7 3/4 x 5 3/4" (197 x 146 mm); paper measuring 10" x 13.75". The etching, produced around 1920, is signed in the plate.
