Bruckner Archive acquires rare Christschall 78 rpm disk
The Bruckner Archive (using funds from website CD sales) has acquired a rare copy of a Christschall 10 inch 78 rpm disc containing recordings of Bruckner's Pange linqua and Vexella regis. The recording was made around 1931 with the St Stephen's Cathedral Choir (Vienna) conducted by Ferdinand Habel (1874-1953).

Ferdinand Habel was actively involved in the musical ife of Vienna. In addition to his teaching activities, he was the Kapellmeister of the St. Stephen's Cathedral Choir from 1921 to 1946.
