Lochner, Louis: Fritz Kreisler and Bruckner's Dog, PugIn Louis P. Lochner's 1951 biography of violinist Fritz Kreisler, he tells the fanciful story of Kreisler's stunt on his conservatory teacher, Anton Bruckner. The story has been recounted many times, but this one, by Kreisler's biographer is perhaps the best.
My thanks to Harry Teahan in Denmark for sharing this version of the story.
