As much as the WAB numbering system works for the non-orchestral works of Anton Bruckner, they do not provide any clarification regarding the versions of the various symphonies. Each symphony is simply given one WAB number. Juan Cahis of Santiago, Chile has come up with a much more comprehensive system for identifying and cataloging the symphonies. His list and an essay regarding the development of that list is available here. Both his original 1998 list and his updated 2006 list are presented here.
