This set of DVDs has been issued by the conductor, Ogan Durjan'narc in conjunction with the Moscow Symphony Orchestra. The title on the box covers for these DVDs is, "How to Pray and Live with Music. This is the Aim of this Procedure." They were prepared by the conductor to help student conductors study his technique. The sound quality (all monaural) is not up to the standards of the day and the video is often simply a close-up of the conductor. Due to the static nature of the videos and the differing performance locations, it must be assumed that Ogan Durjan'narc is conducting to a recording. Only DVD # 11 & 27 have actual video of a Bruckner performance in concert - but both of these are only selected movements. Most of these DVDs are coupled with some selected movements from other compositions (mostly Brahms). These are usually taken from actual concerts.
