July, 2022: Te Deum / Lovro von Matacic / NHK Transcription disc

During his career, Lovro von Matacic visited Japan several times to conduct the NHK (Japan Radio) Symphony Orchestra. His recordings with the ensemble of the Symphonies 5, 7, 8, and 9 have all been offered on commercial CDs in Japan, but his October 1968 performance of Bruckner's Te Deum has never been commercially offered. On rare occasions, NHK would offer transcription discs of concerts to foreign broadcasters. The boxed set # 170 contained two Bruckner performances - the Symphony No. 7 and the Te Deum.
