The Bruckner Society mourns the loss of two of its recent medal recipients
Within a few days in December of 2015, the Bruckner Society was mourning the loss of two its recent medal recipients:

On December 11th, Roswitha (Ritha) Dixon, the widow of the American conductor, Dean Dixon died in a hospital close to her home in Switzerland. The Society had been in frequent communication with Ritha as she graciously accepted the Kilenyi Medal that was given posthumously to her late husband.

On December 19th, the renowned conductor, Kurt Masur passed away in Greenwich, Connecticut. Maestro Masur was presented with the Kilenyi medal in August of 2014 at a private reception at his home.

The Society mourns their loss but fondly remembers our interaction with them in recent years.
