Thank you for attending the 2019 Bruckner Society of America "Brucknerathon" and Symposium. I am looking forward to seeing you!

The event is quickly approaching and it is time to start dealing with the details.

First of all, the opening event is a reception at my home at 21 Juniper Road in Windsor. If you have chosen to stay at the Hyatt House Hotel, you are a short drive (5 minutes) away. The reception is from 1:00PM to 6:00PM on Friday, September 6th. There will be wine, beer and snacks and a lot of interesting conversations. At 6:00PM, we will leave for the restaurant for our annual dinner. We will be sitting in a private dining room, so we can continue discussions undisturbed. The cost of the dinner is not covered by the registration fee.

The fee this year is $40.00. This covers the food for the Friday reception and breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday. Every participant will also receive a special Bruckner "gift" that is being prepared as I write this...

The listening session will be at the home of Ken and Ruth Jacobson at their home in Simsbury, CT. It is about a 30 minute drive from the hotel. The session usually begins at 8:00AM and runs to around 11:30PM. There will be breaks for lunch and dinner.

If you have CDs / LPs / Cassettes to trade or sell, please bring them along. There are always a few "back room" deals going on.

The weekend concludes with the Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Society at 9:00AM on Sunday, September 9th at the Hyatt House Hotel in Windsor. The public is invited to the meeting.

Even though you have signed up, I still need some more information to help me with planning. This involves knowing how many cars will be available to transport people to the restaurant and the listening session, your time of arrival and your means of transportation, emergency contacts, dietary restrictions, etc. It's all necessary to ensure that the event runs smoothly.
