Selected Early Recordings (1924-1934)These six recordings provide us with a glimpse into the past performance practices with regards to the symphonies of Anton Bruckner. The HMV/Electrola recordings show us the trend of playing Bruckner's scherzi as seperate orchestral showpieces. The tempos chosen show a passion for speed and Dol Dauber's recording emphasizes the dance elements of Bruckner's melodies. The Otto Klemperer recording provides us with one of the earliest recorded performances ever made.
