The Bruckner Journal Reader's Conference - A Call for Papers
The 14th Biennial Readers’ Conference of The Bruckner Journal, co-sponsored by the Bruckner Society of America, will be held at the Yale University School of Music on Friday, April 3, and Saturday, April 4, 2026.

We invite proposals for presentations on any aspect of Bruckner, his music, its influence, and performance issues. We also would welcome proposals on the relationship of Mahler and his music to Bruckner.

Proposals should be submitted by email to:
Paul Hawkshaw: paul.hawkshaw@yale.edu
and
Benjamin Korstvedt: BKorstvedt@clarku.edu.

Deadline for submission is 15 November 2025. Submissions should include a title and an abstract of no more than 300 words.

Accepted papers will be allocated a 30-minute slot: 20 minutes for the paper and 10 minutes for discussion.

In addition to presentations in person at the event, the Conference also provides the opportunity for presentations via Zoom for those who are unable to attend in person. Please indicate in your proposal if you expect to be able to attend in-person or if you will need to present via Zoom.

A modest honorarium will be provided for presentations made in-person.
