Gerd Schaller's BRUCKNER2024 Project continues with two additional concerts next summer
In 2022 the Ebrach Summer Music Festival presents two Bruckner concerts as part of the project BRUCKNER2024. This worldwide project has been created by Gerd Schaller in co-production with the Bavarian Radio – Studio Franconia, the CD label Profil Edition Günter Hänssler and the Ebrach Summer Music Festival.

The goal of the Bruckner2034 project is to perform and to record all symphonies in all versions with the Philharmonie Festiva in time for the 200th birthday of Anton Bruckner in 2024.

In addition to the common versions of the symphonies, the Philharmonie Festiva has also recorded the world premiere of the 3rd symphony in the intermediate version of 1874 and the 8th symphony in the intermediate variant of 1888, both editions by William Carragan. The Ninth has been recorded three times with the finale completion by William Carragan and with the finale completion by Gerd Schaller himself (2016 version and
2018 revised version).
