2025 Playlist

The plan at this time is go retro by presenting a Brucknerathon entirely on LP record. All but three of the recordings will be newly pressed audiophile LPs that have been released in recent years. It will give critical listeners an opportunity to detect the subtle differences inherent in analogue reproduction.

In three cases, we will be going back to vintage LP recordings that were never commercially transferred to compact disc.

* With the Karajan / Berlin Philharmonic LP (Symphony No. 8), we will occasionally switch back to the compact disc recording to witness the differences that resulted from the re-mix from the multi-track master tape. For more information about this re-mastering process, click here.
