A portion of the cartons of recordings being delivered to the Austrian Media Library.
Fourteen cartons of Bruckner recordings from the Bruckner Archive in Connecticut have now arrived safely at the Austrian Media Library (Osterreichischer Mediathek) in Vienna. This donation of thousands of physical recordings in addition to the transfer of thousand of digital recordings gives the library the largest collection of Bruckner recordings in the world. The donation, valued at $25,000 is currently being cataloged into the Media Library collection.

I have also connected the Media Library's staff with the staff of the Anton Bruckner Institute in Linz (ABIL). Several years ago Hans Roelofs' extensive collection of Bruckner's choral and instrumental music was donated to the ABIL. Now the two organizations plan to collaborate in their work to preserve and catalog these recordings and to make them available as warranted.
