Berlin Philharmonic releases a Bruckner Symphony Boxed Set
The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra is releasing a boxed set of Bruckner Symphonies on its own label. The deluxe set will include 9 CDs, 4 Blu-Ray discs and the ability to download the cycle. The set comes with a 108 page hardcover book with annotation in German and English. The price is approximately $100.00 plus postage and shipping will begin around November 22nd. More information can be found here. A .pdf of the program book can be downloaded below.

NOTE: The annotation does include one oversight. In discussing the very early recordings of Bruckner's symphonies on 78's, the author mentioned the recordings of the scherzos to Symphonies 0, 1 and 2, but he omits the availability of the Scherzo to the Symphony No. 5 that was recorded by Dol Dauber and his Orchestra.
