The Mystery Cassette - Now solved

This item popped up on Ebay a few weeks ago. The surprising fact was that the cassette offered no performance information. I contacted the seller to find out who was the conductor and he wrote back saying that no performance information was given. I bought the cassette so that I could examine it. As the photo shows, the cassette is well made (using screws rather than being laser glued.) There is no performance information and no date (not even a copyright date!) The cassette is Dolby encoded and was manufactured in Switzerland. It was released under the "GMS - Gold Master Series" and carries a catalogue number of 50.078.

More information will be provided as I examine the performance...

UPDATE: The recording has been transcribed and compared to others in the Bruckner Archive. The performance is by Carl Melles and the Austrian Radio Symphony Orchestra.
