While Bruckner's Symphony No. 4 has long been given the subtitle, "Romantic" and occasionally the Symph9ony No. 8 is referred to as "The Apocalyptic," the other symphonies have usually escaped such descriptors...until now.

The Brilliant Classics re-release of the Pentatone Bruckner cycle with Marek Janowski offers the same liner notes by Franz Steiger that came with the Pentatone release, but It was with the Brilliant CD set that I noticed the subtitles.
