Defective Profil CD of Karl Boehm 78 transfers is repaired!

Profil and Naxos are happy to announce that the problem with the release of the Karl Boehm Bruckner Symphonies 4 and 5 has been corrected and a replacement CD (actually a CDR) of the Symphony No. 5 is now available.

As you may recall, the initial release of the Profil CD set (PH09025) of the Bruckner Symphonies 4 & 5 with Karl Boehm was defective. The symphony # 5 was missing music.

At 11'30" into track 1, there is an awkward edit where several bars of music are left out.

To determine if you have a defective CD, the defective CD has a total time of 67'34", the corrected CD has a timing of 69'06."

This is an excellent release with remarkable annotation in several languages.
