"A Concert to Remember" - University of Houston
On February 24th a special concert was given at the Moores Opera House at the University of Houston. The concert was given to honor Dr. John Mendelsohn, the President of the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and a member of the board of the Houston Grand Opera.

The program for this special concert consisted of two movement from the Bruckner Symphony No. 4 with the Moores School Symphony Orchestra directed by guest conductor, Monzer Hourani. Mr. Hourani is the President of Medistar, a company specializing in medical real estate development.

Monzer Hourani is a patron of the arts in Houston and recently sponsored the Houston Symphony Orchestra concert where Hans Graf conducted the Bruckner Symphony No. 6. Maestro Graf received the Bruckner Society of America Medal of Honor at that concert.

As a momento of the February 24th concert, a DVD was produced which shows the Mooores School Orchestra in top form as they perform the first and last movements of the Bruckner Symphony. Mr. Hourani's love for the music was conveyed well to these young and talented musicians.
