Day Two

Today we took a city tour of the sites in Vienna, passing by many landmarks associated with Bruckner. They included Hessgasse and Waehringer Gasse where he lived, and the Piaristenkirsche where he took his organ exam. After lunch, we took a walking tour of the Central Cemetery where Beethoven, Brahms, Schubert, Suppe, Herbeck, Johann Strauss, Arnold Schoenberg and other famous musicians are buried. We ended the day's tour with a visit to Belvedere and the apartment where Bruckner died in 1896.
