March in D Minor (WAB 96)
Martin Tousinant writes, "I wasn't quite sold on this work until I heard Martin Sieghart's recording with the Bruckner Orchestra of Linz. Their clarity and precision brought out Bruckner's quickly emerging sense of color, which I largely preserved in my wind band version. Its companion movements served well as modest divertimenti, but this bold march foreshadowed the symphonic Bruckner yet to come. As always I arranged the wind band version to bring this music to a new audience."
