Symphony No. 3 - Adagio (1877): Arranged for FOUR pianos

Given the versatility of computers and compositional software, a clever person can come up with transcriptions that would be unwieldy and cumbersome in the real world. Here is a wonderful example. Joan Schukking has transcribed the Adagio of Bruckner's Symphony No. 3 for four pianos.

This is a midi arrangement of the 1877 version of the adagio of the third symphony for four pianos (eight staffs). Each piano plays a particular section of the orchestra. The piano on the left side plays the violin parts, the next piano plays the woodwind parts, the next plays the brass parts and the piano on the right side plays the parts of the violas, cellos and basses. I also added the recapitulation, which had been omitted in this version, using material from the recapitulation of the 1876 version and of exposition from the 1877 version. At the climax at 14:54 I have added the motifs derived from the second bar of the first theme. Used software: MuseScore 3, Grand Piano.
