April, 2026: Symphony No. 8 / Jesus Lopez Cobos / Cincinnati Symphony / Telarc CD

Telarc Recordings was founded in 1977 and their digital recordings were immediately and consistently heralded for their sonic excellence. Between 1977 and 2009, Telarc gave us seven Bruckner recordings (Symphonies 4-9 two of B5) which have now essentially disappeared from the catalogs. Five of these releases were recorded by Jesus Lopez Cobos (1940-2018) and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra where he was music director from 1986-2001). This performance was recorded in March of 1993.
