Anton-Bruckner-Strasse sign acquired by Bruckner Archive
According to the website "Streets in Germany," (www.strassen-in-deutschland.de) there are 85 cities or towns in Germany with an Anton-Bruckner-Strasse. One such city is Hof an der Saale in northeast Bavaria. The city planners in Hof must have been musically minded in that Anton-Bruckner-Strasse runs between Mozart-Strasse and Max-Reger-Strasse and is intersected by Franz-Schubert-Strasse. Felix Mendelssoh-Bartholdy, Carl Orff, Albert Lortzing, Joseph Haydn, Johann Strauss and Fanny Hensel have streets in the neighborhood as well..

Why this is of any importance stems from the fact that in the process of some urban renewal, a street sign was replaced and the old street sign has found its way into the Bruckner Archive.

The sign measures 46 inches by 6 inches.
