Newsletter - April 15, 2018

I have made the decision that the 2018 Bruckner Tour of Austria will be the last one that I will be offering. The tour this August will be the third that I have sponsored and it will have been a good run. However, there are other places to go and other concert venues to visit and while I will probably attempt to make my annual pilgrimage to the BrucknerTage Festival, I have decided not to deal with the logistics, expense and the time commitment that an eleven day tour entails.

If you have been planning on taking one of these tours in the future, I suggest that you seriously re-consider joining this last tour. The past two have been wonderful experiences for all, and this will be your last chance.

Great music, interesting sites, informative commentary, new friends, great food and beautiful scenery. If you love Bruckner’s music and his fascinating life, then don’t pass up the 2018 Bruckner Tour of Austria.

As stated before, I will personally accompany the tour and I will be on hand to answer any questions and introduce you to many of the Bruckner experts and musicians that we will meet along the way. Also, noted Bruckner scholar, William Carragan will be on the tour and he will certainly be adding his comments to those of our expert tour guide.

FINAL THOUGHTS

PLEASE SUPPORT THIS SITE All the information provided on this site is available to you free-of-charge. But it is not free for me to get it to you. Recordings must be purchased as does the server space upon which this website is stored. We have provided two easy ways for you to support this venture. First is to purchase recordings in my web store and second is to make your regular purchases (of anything!) through my homepage web links to online retailers. Purchases will support the ongoing expenses of operating this website.

I strongly recommend a subscription to The Bruckner Journal. Dr. Michael Cucka is the editor of the Journal which encompasses essays, reviews and other features that are not covered here. The Bruckner Journal is issued three times per year. Please sign up!
