June, 2017: Symphony No. 8 / Bernard Haitink / European Community Youth Orchestra

Click to enlarge In 2016, Bernard Haitink toured with the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO) and performed Bruckner's Symphony No. 7. But back in 1989, the conductor was working with the same ensemble (but obviously with different players!). Back then, the ensemble was known as the European Community Youth Orchestra and the work on their program was Bruckner's Symphony No. 8. This concert was recorded in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam on August 22, 1989.
