Ludwig K. Mayer and the Staedtisches Orchester Berlin were the first to record the Overture in G Minor, the Three Orchestral Pieces and its companion March in D Minor. The recordings were produced by Polydor around 1939 and were re-released in 1948 by Deutsche Grammophon in a pressing, "licensed by the Military Government." These performances have never been transferred to LP or CD.
