Sylvain Cambreling has been working his way through an excellent Bruckner cycle with the SWR Symphony Orchestra of Baden-Baden and Freiburg. Unlike many of his jet-setting contemporaries, Cambreling is pursuing the role of a kapellmeister and orchestra builder and his work with the SWR Symphony Orchestra has been remarkable. Glor Classics has been diligently releasing these performances. Symphonies 4, 6, 7 and 9 are out and the Symphony No. 3 has now been released.
