Erwin Horn has long been a champion of Bruckner's music and has recorded his organ works and has transcribed many of Bruckner's Symphonies. In this new recording, Horn performs the Andante of the Symphony No. 2. There is also music by Bruckner's teacher, Otto Kitzler and his pupils, Hans Rott and Gustav Mahler. Also of interest is Erwin Horn's adaptation of an 1890 organ sketch by Bruckner which is an interesting combination of the Finale to the Symphony No. 1 and the German national anthem. www.motette-verlag.de.
