Advertisements from The Gramophone, Stereo Review, etc. (1950-1960)

Thanks to the generosity of a reader, I was given a large collection of back issues of The Gramophone Magazine dating between 1950 and 1960. I spent a few days thumbing through the issues and decided to share with you some of the advertisements that announced the release of some Bruckner LPs.

These ads are modest by today's standards and full page ads were rarely devoted to a single release - unless it was a big operatic production or a new Beethoven symphony cycle. As you will see, Bruckner releases were usually just one in a list of new offerings and color was rarely used.

Over the course of this ten year span, there were not many Bruckner releases, but I think you will find these interesting.
