Noguchi, Takeo: Essay on the Schalk Edition of the Bruckner Symphony No. 5
Takeo Noguchi is a well known Bruckner scholar in Japan and is the Director of the Wilhelm Furtwaengler Institute in Tokyo. Mr. Noguchi has been a strong advocate of Nineteenth and early Twentieth Century performance practices and as such has had a keen interest in the first published editions of Bruckner's symphonies. This essay is the forward to a reprint of the Franz Schalk edition of the Bruckner Symphony No. 5 that Mr. Noguchi has published in Japan. It is available for sale in my webstore.
